Filippo Fiori – Head Drama Practitioner
Filippo studied Drama at Liverpool John Moore’s University and then trained on the Hope St Physical Theatre Programme, taking part in workshops run by the leading theatre practitioners of the time. On completing the course, Filippo worked as a professional actor staring in a Wall’s Cornetto Whippy advert, and appeared on television programmes such as Emmerdale and 24/seven. He also co formed Ullaloom Theatre Company, regularly performing in nationally touring productions such as ‘Dracula’ and ‘The Dark Room’. Filippo is an experienced writer, director and workshops leader, who has produced work on an international level. He has extensive experience of running workshops in schools and has created projects, performances and tours for well known organisations National Museums Liverpool, Liverpool St George’s Hall and Port Sunlight Museum. He recently provided his voice for the audio commentary on The Captain Bligh exhibition at The National Maritime Museum.
Jade Fiori – Company Director
Jade is a graduate of Falmouth University (BA HONS). Alongside studying Dance Performance & Choreography, Jade decided to open drama and dance classes for the young people of Falmouth. Starting with only two weekly sessions, SMT now offers over ten classes which focus on industry disciplines. Jade is a qualified Level 1 & 2 Cheerleading coach. Before Falmouth University, Jade studied at the prestigious Starlite Performing Arts School and Liverpool Theatre School. She has been working professionally in the industry since the age of 13. She has been part of professional productions such as ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Our Day Out’, ‘The King and I’, and many more. Her passion is to guide young people on their journey to achieve their goals.
Jade Stewart-Tribe – Musical Theatre Practitioner
Jade studied Drama at Bath Spa University. From there she has gone on to perform nationally in many touring productions. Most recently Jade has been touring with Rogue Theatre performing in woodlands all over England and even Glastonbury festival last year. Jade has taught singing for a number of years at many theatre schools including The Mark Jermin Stage School (Bath), Pauline Quirke Academy (Bristol) Chippenham Youth theatre, Victoria’s dance academy and Stagecoach Penzance. She was a flyer for the Bath Spa Rapids Cheerleading team for 3 years, winning national titles and competing internationally and is now a qualified Level 1 & 2 Cheer Coach teaching alongside Scruffy Mutt director, Jade Fiori.
Katie Pewsey – Drama Assistant
Katie Pewsey has danced for many years with local dance schools and is currently studying Dance Performance and Choreography at Falmouth University. Katie is also part of Scruffy Mutt Dance Company and the Scruffy Mutt advanced Edinburgh Fringe Cast. Katie is fully chaperone licenced and first aid trained. She currently teaches dance alongside director, Jade Fiori.
All Scruffy Mutt employees are both chaperoned licensed through Cornwall Council and enhanced DBS checked.
